Rockstone Cottage is located in beautiful West Wight.  Nearby attractions include The Needles Battery, The Needles Park at Alum Bay and Dimbola Lodge, the home of Victorian photographer Julia Margaret Cameron.

The town of Freshwater is situated on the Western tip of the Isle of Wight, overlooking the Needles bay and the famous lighthouse.  Freshwater is the main shopping centre for West Wight and it's range of excellent restaurants and quaint shops ensure that it is busy and vibrant all year round.

There are a good range of family attractions within 15 minutes drive of Rockstone Cottage, including Yarmouth Castle, Island Planetarium, the Underwater Archaeological Centre, Fort Victoria Country Park, Chessell Pottery and What Knot Crafts.

The Isle of Wight is only 18 miles across and 12 miles top to bottom so there are many other excellent attractions within an easy drive of us.  The include Queen Victoria's holiday home Osborne House, the historic Brading Roman Villa, Carisbrooke Castle, Shanklin Chine and the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.

Local sporting facilities include West Wight Sports Centre - with a gym, swimming pool, courts and shop - and Freshwater Bay Golf Course.
