Location

The nearest ferry service, Lymington in the New Forest to Yarmouth is run by Wightlink - motorists are advised to book early, especially at peak times when it is best to book the ferry at the same time as making your reservation.  The bus service on the island is run by Southern Vectis and the number 7 bus passes the end of the road.  Click here for an interactive guide to getting to the island.  You will find us in Colwell Chine Road, which leads down to Colwell Bay in beautiful West Wight, just two miles from the ferry at Yarmouth. Nearby Freshwater has a range of facilities including chemists, banks, a baker, newsagent, hardware shop & supermarkets.  Colwell Bay is an unspoilt sandy beach (at low tide) with super clean shallow water ideal for swimming.  The sea wall stretches round to Totland Bay making this an easy walk and a great place to photograph sunsets over The Needles.  With a good range of places to eat out close by & riding stables, golf course swimming pool & leisure centre all within easy reach and we are ideally situated to explore the island on foot, by bike, car or bus.
